𝗝𝗘𝗗𝗜, Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure a 𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙙 contract is an agreement between the United States Department of Defense (DoD) and a 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 that will 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝟴𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗗 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮.
At most, the U.S. government will be paying the awarded cloud provider $10 billion over 10 years.

Companies interested in the contract included 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻, 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲, 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁, 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲, 𝗜𝗕𝗠

In 2014 AWS won the 𝗖𝗜𝗔 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 and gain all the major Defense system contracts

• JEDI was considered “gift-wrapped for Amazon” when launched in 2018

• April 26, 2019 Amazon.com Inc and Microsoft Corp were selected to continue competing

• August 2019, President Donald Trump hold it for dislike towards Amazon’s founder

• October 2019 ,announced Microsoft winning

• 22 November 2019 ,AWS filed documents with the Court of Federal Claims challenging the award

• February 13, 2020, Amazon claim accepted

• September 4, 2020 , reaffirmed that Microsoft won the JEDI Cloud contract

𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗿𝗲 Now is running 80% of DoD.
